GDP lift pump and ULSD

i thought i read that some folks were having the walbro pumps on the GDP lift pump kits crap out on them possibly due to ULSD. is this true cause im about to order the kit and want to know ahead of time as im on the road out of town every week for work on the railroad and cant spare the time or hassle. thanx in advance

my walbro and ULSD have been OK, knock on wood.....

I have had good luck also. This past winter I had problems and thought it was the Walbro, I replaced it (easy) and lo and behold the problem re-occured. Turns out I had water in the tank that was freezing at the screen in the sending unit in the tank. Given the symptoms, you would have sworn the lift pump puked, by the way I had been running Power service the whole time and the fuel was fine it just couldn't get out of the tank.

ok the next question, wheres the cheapest that youve seen them? is GDP the cheapest at 499. 00?

also, which kit should i get? better yet what kit and add-ons should i get with it like the 2micron+bigline kit?

I would get the 2 mic + bigline. If your doing it yourself and your in there anyway, it makes sense to do it. I did mine and it was easier than I thought. Any ? let me know. I'm right down the road from you in Spring Hill.

I would'nt sweat the Walbro... ... been running the GDP kit on three trucks without any issues, would do it again.

hey dieselhed, you wouldnt by chance work in olathe on kansas ave. would you i think i seen you before. i have the loud *** 06 cc lb 4x4... ... . drasko on the plate and F()CK HEMI on the drivers side of the rear.

On another note... ive been lookin for a new place and wanted to move out towards spring hill... . any good places to rent or buy with some land w/o the pretty penny?

I was over that way about 3 weeks ago for jury duty (week long) but I don't get over that way much. I think I've seen you on I-35 before.



I went to an auction a year ago at about 199st. and Quivira. There was 80 acres for sale and I think I heard it went for $4,500 an acre. Depends on where it's at and who owns it. I've got 29 acres out by Hillsdale lake I'm going to build on in the next 5 years or so. Waiting on them to get some asphalt on the roads out there. I love it in Spring Hill though. Small town feel but your pretty close to the city. We finally got a Price Chopper!



I just got my truck back from Floor It diesel the other day. Got a DTT put in it. I yanked the cat out and with the MBRP duals it's louder than I thought. Already **** my neighbors off when I leave for work at 4 a. m.

yeah it was probably me on 35. im up and down that hwy all the time... ..... i think im the only single wheel 1 ton in town!!! so it was probably me. i was gonna get rid of my truck but i finally decided that with the OT im makin on the railroad, im gonna keep it and buy a 12 valve and do the big bombs to it. you outta come out with my buddy and i!! hes got a maxi-pad and we go terrorise the street racers in olathe... . boy do they get ****** when they get walked on by a 6 speed manual diesel!!! give me a ring, ill be back in town thursday 913-406-9010
