I have 2005 2500 reg. cab long bed 4x4 with the 325/610 cummins and a nv5600. The truck has 9,400 miles on it. Now... here's the problem... I have been deployed since the end of Nov 05 and will not get back until some time this summer. I changed the engine oil around the 5,500 mile mark. I have the truck sitting in long term storage. I gets started once a month. Now... when I get back from deployment I will be driving about 6,000 miles over the next 3 months. I am planning on changing the engine oil as soon as I get back but... I'm wondering if I should go ahead and change the axle oil and transmission oil as soon as I get back or risk waiting until I get to my next permanent duty station? I realize that I will be around the 15,000 mile mark and according to the maint. schedule, that is the correct milage to change the gear oil and trans. oil. Will having the truck sit for the past 6 months be bad on the oil... causing it to break down prematurely? I appreciate all the help.

You won't have any problem by not changing the other fluids until you get to your next duty station. In addition to getting started once per month, I would also have someone drive it a mile or two once every two months to keep all the seals pliable and accessaries working, such as the power steering, AC compressor, alternator and so on.
