I just changed all the gear oils in my '03, 6-sp.

Squirting the gear oil into the gear boxes is a bit of a pain. I used an old DC gear oil bottle with a tapered nipple with a clear vinyl hose clamped to it. The hose doesn't stay on very well and I got a couple of oil baths.

Are there any clever ways to get the oil from the bottle to the gear case? Any of you using "Jay's EZ Funnel" from Geno Garage? Does it work well? Any better ideas for the next gear oil change?

Thanks for your help.

I found a funnel at Wally World, that had a twist shut off and clear hose on it, worked like a champ for me. The twist off fitting comes off the funnel and screwed right onto the oil bottles. Did all my fluids and didn't spill a drop. Didn't use the funnel, just the hose.

The gear oil I buy comes in squeeze bottles (Valvoline Synpower). I just snip the tip and squeeze it in there.

I've got a Jay's EZ Funnel and it works like a charm. I've used it to change the manual transmission fluid and the rear end gear oil. Haven't spilled a drop.

If you want to do it easy, go to your garden supply store and get a 4 gallon plastic insectide sprayer Cut the tip off the wand and then fill it up, pump it up and squirt it in. Works great ;) for the rear end also. ;) :D

I went to Schucks and purchased a small pump that fits into a quart amsoil bottle just fine. I just pump it in!

I have an air pump on a 15 gallon drum with a dial gauge on the nozzle that counts in pints. I got it used and it makes things nice and easy.
