BN, use this RoadRanger Calculator.



Choose you final transmission ratio (Assume the 9 speed is direct so use 1. 00) If it is an RTO rather than an RT then give me the model and I will find the final ratio for you.



Choose tire size



Choose RPM you wish to boogie along at.



Hit "Calculate"...



Then it will give you a chart with the rear axle ratios and the speed generated by each ratio at 1900 rpm.

3. 55's will only give you 64mph at 1900 rpm for example.

That works pretty slick I cant remember for sure but the Low Pro tires 24. 5 are the same diameter and 22. 5 I have to keep that tool Mike that's pretty nice info thanks. I was thinking 355's but nice to be sure as I dont want to get it wrong. I'm cutting down the International from 3 axle to 2 axle so I can pull my stock trailer. The wife and I want to go to other states to do some horse camping. Got a Pete air ride and a 40 something inch sleeper to mount on frame. She came out to the shop to bring lunch to BIL and I. I asked her if she still thought that my overhead hoist was still to much for a home shop. IT SURE IS NICE TO HAVE IT MAKES THE LIFTING SO MUCH BETTER. :-laf

I was looking for something with a shinny 290 or small cam 350 to buy when looking for a truck but could only find cab overs. Nothing wrong with cab overs when I was young but climbing up and down is not as easy now.
