ok i have waited for a year to get my little gear pattern straight up and down again... is there anyway to get it to stay or do ya'll have after market shifter nobs?

Eaton Fuller, there is no substitute.



That being said, why not remove the cap and apply a small dose of clear silicon, should keep it straight if you don't want to go aftermarket.

Yep, take a small screwdriver and pop it right out. I did what Big Saint said and put a dabb of sylicone on it. It's been two year now and it hasn't moved yet.
