Selling my Gear Vendor's OD unit. Used in 3 gen w/G56 for about 30K miles. Needs reverse clutch.
Complete kit with everything needed to install it in a 3 gen, but with a different adapter it should fit
2 Gen just fine. . Looked into replacing the clutch and it didn't seem that difficult. I wound up trading my
3 gen in for a '14 with Aisin, so I don't need this unit anymore. New, they sell for around $3300. I'll sell for
$750 plus shipping etc. Plz email -- email address removed -- for more details or pics.

At say 70 miles per hour your g56 rpms are at ? and with the gear vender ingauged your rpms are at ?

Hmmm. This will be from memory since I don't have the G56 anymore, but if I recall correctly, 70mph was
about 2100 RPM without the OD, and about 1600 with it. It really made for nice cruising at highway speeds.
The engine quieted right down. Also saved about 1.5 MPG too.

I do still have the GV OD. I have not had time to respond to buyers until now. I'm near Poughkeepsie NY.
I am going to relist it and perhaps ebay it soon, but if you're interested, I'll hold off.

Still F/S? Was this used on a 4X4? Are you saying it's just a bolt in on a 2nd gen? Drive shaft needs mod?

I do still have it. Had is 'sold' but never saw any $$$.... Am going to relist it this week.
Yes, it was used on a 4x4. It's a bolt-on to a 2-gen using the supplied adapter. You do
have to shorten the DS about 11". Not a difficult install at all. The unit does need to be
repaired thus the low price. The 'reverse clutch' is bad. I would have fixed it but traded
the truck in for a '14.

Replied to the emailed, not sure if it works that way.
I'm very interested and you're relatively close so, I would like to proceed. I'm not exactly sure the reason for a reverse clutch, I would assume it just rotates in relation to the transmission. I will research it fully for my own edification. Did you get a quote for the repair. Can it be done at home or does it have to be sent in.
You can just contact me at my email moparloper@( either hotmail or gmail)
Thanks,
Jim

Ron,
If Jim doesn't buy it, contact me, I'd be interested, and have 3rd gen G56 just like the truck you used this on. Thanks, Michael e-mail: -- email address removed --
