Archived GEN light???

Okay she ain't down yet but I want to know if I should be watching for something. Had my batteries checked yesterday everything fine, had my starter checked, not fine so I got and installed a new one. Now this morning I fire her up, fine, drive about a minute and the GEN light comes on wind the volt meter is a little about the 14 mark, not in the red zone but higher then normal. What is happening here? Voltage regulator? Loose conections? I kinda need my truck this week so if I can't prevent a break down I want to. Thanks guys for the help.....

Oh yah one more thing, when I was testing the starting up procedure this morning I got one episode of the click , click the start, ?????

Not to be insulting but, check all connections for tightness and also the starter bolts, engine ground strap, clean connections on the batteries etc. Usually it's something silly we miss that gets us into trouble.

Not insulting at all, I'm famous for missing and sometimes skipping easy stuff. I just cleaned and retightened the battery connections. After driving awhile the volts still look a little higher but the gen light went out and so far she's starting so I'm really confused now????
