Question for Robin....

Dueling Banjos, Kind of!

i had a really bad experience with geno's garage. i bought a few things from them. they sent part of the order, but not all of it. one item was on back order for three months! thank god i contacted them, because they wouldn't have contacted me. then after i complained about it, they were nice enough not to charge me and send me a t-shirt. well, i emailed to order a catalog. i waited for four weeks, finally called them..... talked with robin and she tells me 'the first catalog was damaged by the postal service'. she said that another one was on the way. so, three weeks or so go by and nothing! so i email her and ask, whats up? she replies that she doesn't know, so i reply with a little anger and sarcasm. she then proceeds to emial me and totally lies about the whole situation, saying that she doesn't know anything about why i haven't received it. she said i should have received both of them, but she forgot she told me that the post office ruined the first one. so, here i am catching her lying; she claimed it was not on her end... ..... i want to order something from them and she thinks i'm lying about not receiving the catalog. now she wont send me one. i will say this, i know that genos is popular, but i can tell you that i have told this story to everyone i know that has a diesel truck to stay away, because, quite frankly, shes a lyin' sack! and they need to work on their customer service. be honest and truthfull and make the freakin' calls to your customer; dont make them call you, cuz, then the'll be ******! GENOS, thanks fer nutin'!:-{}

Hope you feel better! You know I was going to write you a long drawn out response, but in the grand scheme of things, why waste my time? If this is the worst thing that happens in your life, consider yourself lucky. You get no pity from me.

You are entitled to your rant and I'm entitled to see it as a waste of bandwidth.

Good day.

hoof

not looking for pity... ... ... please. dont feel any better, because i wasn't feeling bad to begin with, just wanted to let people know that if you dont get what you paid for OR feel as though you've been bent over w/o the reach-around, it doesn't hurt to let people know of your experience. thats all. thank god you didn't give me a long drawn out response..... thats all i need. by the way, just lost my father, so i'm sure i know about worse things in life. thanks. speaking of a waste of bandwidth, why would you respond?

Apoloiges

Mark, I am very sorry to hear of your father's death. I am sure this is a very difficult time for you and your family.

And I apologize for what appears to have been poor customer service. That was certainly not what I set out to do. I just couldn't find a solution that worked well for both you and Geno's Garage.

robin, that means a lot....thanks!

robin, i hope that you understand. all i wanted to do was purchase some parts from you guys. i did not mean to insult. i do however have a starnge sense of humor and i am very sarcastic. so, again, my apologies, thanks. ;)

So, you're suggesting that we stop using Geno's because you didn't get your free catalog, and that they'll send gifts to customers if a product is backordered?

Seriously?

pc.....you got it wrong!

no, i was explaining of how the whole situation went down. i could care less who you use to buy your parts from. listen, when your into something (i. e. trucks, cars, boats, or whatever), you want to build a relationship with your supplier. period. since there are so many out there, instead of using 20 different suppliers, it would be nice to use, say, 5 or 6. get it? and if you read carefully, it was not in fact about getting the 'free' catalog... ... it was about being informed that my part was on back order, is that a tough thing to ask for? also, it was about being told one thing one time and another the other time and i still dont blame robin, because i'm sure she has bigger fish to fry. do you need me to draw it out for ya? again, i did not mean any disrespect towards robin at all, in fact the last email i sent was kinda funny and i wish she had taken that way. i was not happy and voiced it, have you ever done that, PC?:{ in fact, if i had a catalog, i probably would buy something from them anyway.

2000, face it, "stuff' happens, get over it. The amount of effort and time put forth by Robert/ Robin and their gang makes this worthwhile for all.

Good reading, thanks guy's.

Berman, every once in a while, "stuff" happens. Usually, it happens to me, but I guess it was just your turn. Sorry dude. But, you did get a cool T-shirt! Also, sorry to hear about your dad.

Just my 2 cents... I have had good luck and good service with Genos. Like you said, grab that catalog and give it another try.

yeah.....

first off, i would give them a second chance. second, i am over it, i was expressing my feelings about something that HAD bothered me. third, this is a forum, regardless of what you (pc) might think; you no nothing of my abilities. go fly something you can handle... ... ... . like a kite! :D

one more thing.....

i love this site. i use it to learn more about what i'm driving. it has helped me many times and the people on here are very helpfull and pretty cool ta boot!they most likely share the same interests that i have. i absolutely understand what R & R go through..... i'm sure their not getting paid enough for their effort! i know, because i own a business too; and to be honest, for a long time i really didn't care what people thought, because i knew there would be another client right behind the last. maybe thats why i reacted the way i did. but, i have to say, that, although a child at heart, i am growing up. i have also learned to admit when i'm wrong and to apologize when i feel as though i owe someone an apology. this is the first time i have vented on a forum about anything, anything... . meier, i am over it, seriously dude, 100% over it. and of course i cant forget pc, you really need to read instead of browse the words. maybe you have jet-lag? :p

thanks, JDiepstra

amongst all the tabockle i have caused, you actually read my thread! much appreciated... ... . R&R, dont stop what your doing. i'm just preparing you for your worst clients! :-laf

no, but i understand.

yes, again, you are right. robin did not need that comment. period. dont you think i should tell everyone that has a diesel that its a stand up shop when i receive a catalog? in a hole is when you need something that only one person has got. the earth is round, my new friend, you keep diggin' and you'll eventually see daylight? :-laf

Berman, you know the catalog is online also, right? Just trying to help out here.

My condolences about your dad.

yes, thanks.

no, i do know that and thanks. i have been online and find its a little bit of work to hop around that site... ... ... . i know, i know, everyone wants it easy. its nice to touch things (paper), now-a-days! wags, buddy, no problem , anytime i can remind you of something, its my pleasure. as you can see by my post, i can also take the heat of all you folks with a quick thread. any of you guys (this is for you hoof) ever dig themselves a hole, let me kow, i'll jump in with ya and we'll get through it together, even if we have to dig to china! thanks again PT... ..... much appreciated!

i cant believe this: i drop a thread about a serious question, get no response!

i 'm a jerk and now i feel as though i just made all kinds of friends! hhmmmmm

Thanks TDR'rs!

Sometimes that's how it goes.

I am sorry to hear about your Dad and your bad experience with Genos. I sure hope you give them a second chance also. I have never had a bad experience with them and rarely here of it. But like said above, things happen, we are all human.
