Why are there diffrent sets for the sport models ???

My 2002 truck is not a sport but it does have the fog lights

Which set Do I need ??

BTW: I found the ATS intake for $309 New and in 3 Diffrent Powdercoated color for no extra charge !! SWEET !!!! How ever Im broke and only have $100 :-laf www.xtremediesel.com

I had the BB on my '01 and have the respective model for my '05. It is a great improvement in the lighting that in my opinon should be standard on the trucks fom the factory. I did not have the sport headlights on the former, but from my readings here, the electrical demands are more than the regular setup, thus requring a different box. Get the correct one for your truck. I do not believe (correct me if I am wrong) but the fog light set up is not the same as the 3G setups- I have no fogs on either truck so I am not an experienced user on these.

Here is the website for more info:BRITE BOX

Maybe it's because the non-Sport uses a 9004 bulb for both low and high beams and the Sport uses a 9007 bulb for low beams, both a 9004 and 9007 bulb for high beams, and the wiring on a 9004 differs from the 9007.

Is this just a relay for the lights so the actual supply 12v does not go through the on/off switch?

I am not an electrical engineer (but I play one on TV :-laf ) But this is my understanding of how it works. Granted, one may be able to field duplicate the same scenerio, but if it is already worked out I am willing to just "plug 'n play. " I do wish I had the time to "do- it- in the field" in my garage. It may be simplelr on the pre- 3G's (i. e. 1 relay) whereas the newer ones require 2 separate 'channels' due to the computer "light out" sensors.
