Hi All,

Does anyone know which set of headlight beams are switched to the auxiliary power source when using Genos Brite Box? If it switches the high beams, I see a soultioin to my problems.

The multifunction switch in my 95 Ram is beginning to fail in the low beam position, (lights go off at the most inappropriate times), and if the brite box switches the high beams, I will purchase one and then hard wire around the low beam switch position so that they are on whenever the main headlight switch is on. (These multifunction switches are expensive)

Thanks Guys,

Roger

If you have a tilt wheel, pull the covers and check the wiring at the multi function switch connector. The wires will shear off of the spade connectors at time and cause all kinds of havoc. Dodge just replaced my intire dash wiring harness for this problem. ;) Good luck

I don't think a Brite Box (or the cheap homemade version) will help. On low the low beams are thru the head light switch. On high the high beans are thru the head light switch. If a Brite Box is used, on high the high beams are thru the head light switch and the low beams are thru a relay from another power source. So regardless of having a Brite Box or not the load on the head light (and the multifunction) switch is the same.
