Geno's Cup Smoothie Fix

I installed my Geno's Cup Smoothie Christmas Day when I got it. Since then it's locked up about 5 times. I could always get it open eventually with a screw driver but it got to be a PITA. This past weekend I finally found a solution. When taking the latch completely loose, you can see a little triangle that rotates and locks the console. I drilled a whole through the triangle and the metal piece next to it. Then I put a string through and tied a knot. Works perfect ever since, but it will open when in the up position.
