I have a 97 and ordered a plug for a 97, and the bag said it was a 22 mm but it slides right in the hole without any need to thread it. Is it possible that the plug was mismakred. I measured the plug diameter from thread to thread and got about 20mm. I am not sure how to accurately measure the diameter of the plug. I just want to make sure that my plug hole was previously bored out before I send back this plug to get a Geno's replacement. Any thoughts would be great.

Thanks

Jay

If you have a Harbor Freight Tool store local to you a digital caliper can be had for very little money. Accurate enough for what your needing. I bought one thinking I would rarely use it, but find that it has come in handy several times. A worthy purchase in my opinionm. They measure in inch's and MM.

That is a good idea, they just opened a harbor freight less then an hour away. I been wanting to stop by for some of those type of tools that are inexpensive and not needed often, but when you need them are great to have. I talked to Geno's, and I have the right plug. I assume that someone replaced the pan with a different type of pan from a bigger application, or it was tapped out because of cross threading or something. Oh well, I may not get to have that neat little drain plug.

Thanks a bunch

Jay
