Has anyone had any bad luck with the finger push drian plug from geno's? I'm thinking of replacing my leaking plug with one but was worried about unsuspecting leaks or the plug opening under load while driving. Please tell me I'm wrong about this.

Thanks,

Travis

I've had one on my 97 for about a year. I love it. Makes an oil change quick and easy. I was having trouble getting the original plug to seal and got tired of fighting it every oil change. From the way its constructed, I don't think you would have to worry about it letting go while driving down the road. The down side is it does stick down about 1/2 inch. However the 97 is a 4x4 and its pretty well protected. On your 2wd, you might want to consider the EZ instead. It has a much smaller profile. Thats the way I'm going with my 99 (the plug is in the garage waiting for the next oil change) Both the finger touch and the EZ are quality units.

I have great luck with the geno's drain plug . I have a 97 4x4 5sp, and have had it for about 4 years now, and the only proublem i had was I lost the drain tube and had to order another one by itself. It works fine andyou can drain the oil right into a 1 gal jug if you want and have no spills.

I've had mine for more than two years. No problems. My 2wd is never off the road so clearance is no problem for me. Sure is nice to not have the mess when changing oil.

I've had my finger-touch drain plug for about 3 years and no problems. I liked it so much, I bought one for my wife's Neon.
