Does anyone out there have the genos fuel filter cap, what are your pressures? Just installed Isspro gauges today and tried 4 times to get all of the air out of the line. I think my gauge is bad because there is antifreeze in the part where the numbers are. This has to be where the air is coming from, after four times of filling the isolator, line and gauge up i was positive it was completly free of any bubbles 3 out of 4 of the times. Line appeared to have no air or bubbles until i started the engine. My readings are 6psi at idle and drops to 5psi at wot. I will call Genos Monday to find out about getting a new gauge.

sounds like that gauge has an internal leak . I would get that thing off the truck pronto. I think that anti freeze you see is diesel fuel. :eek:Highway fuel is sort of a green color. I'm sure Geno's will make it right, but untill you get it replaced take it off the truck for safety reasons.

the antifreeze is supposed to be there, in the line, gauge, and isolator so that fuel does not go in the cab. its used for pressure from the diaphram.

It was for this reason that I went with the Westach electric gauge for fuel pressure. Got it from Geno's-came with the sender. I put the sender on top of Geno's chrome filter cap and all is good. My buddy has a mechanical gauge and had diesel come into the cab at first also. I didn't see this as a good idea, so went with the electric. Pressure is 16 at idle and WOT 12-14. On thing, though, when it's colder out readings go down until things heat up under the hood, then all is normal. Not sure why.

If your truck is stock (lift pump) ,your readings are correct.

I've got the Geno's fuel filter cap on my '06 with an Isspro gauge. I get close to 10psi at idle. It will drop to about 5 if I really get in to it. I did have a BIG problem using the newer FS19856 Fleetguard filter with it though. The newer filter is just a tad too big to fit inside the Geno's fuel filter cap. Forcing it in will cause your gauge to read ZERO because no fuel can get up in to the fuel pressure gauge isolator. I e-mailed Geno's about it and they said that they newer fuel filter caps have been machined slightly larger to accommodate the new FS19856 filter. They suggested I use a Dremel to enlarge my filter cap. I removed material until the fuel filter fit with a little bit of slop so fuel could get around it and up in to the pressure port. This modification did the trick for me. I also loosed up the pressure hose at the isolator while the truck was idling to allow the air inside to bleed out. As soon as fuel began to flow I tightened it back up. Before I preformed those to modifications I was only showing about 6psi on my gauge.

The antifreeze in the gauge bezel is a sure sign of something amiss though... I'd warranty the gauge if I were you.
