I would like to hear some input from guys who have the Geno's product. The polished metal cap with the 1/8" npt port to accept the pressure sending unit.

How is the product? Is it a pain in the rear to change out your fuel filter? Do you have to disconnect the fuel line every filter change?

I installed gauges over 2 years ago & made the mistake of not installing a fuel gauge & have regretted it ever since. Remember back when most thought the 3rd Gen's didn't have lift pump problems?

I used this method for gauges on my '01. I have yet to put it back on the new one. It is reall easy to do. The billet cap does not have the 'clips' that hold the filter to the cover. The filter change otherwise is the same.

I take it mean the wire leads (assuming electric sender?) The fuel line does not have to be disconnected, but as far as the wires go- I installed a trailer type 2 lead disconnect as I mouted the sender (i used an electric sender Westac)... I am not familiar with a mechanical sending unit used with the cap.

Yea, it is not supposed to have problems, but I have the gauges that I removed from the last truck and will put them in the current one for monitoring purposes.

I did the same on my 02. I just orderd the gauge new pillar ... . last week but it still hasn't gotten here :{ I should have done it right the first time

I bought one to use with my FASS plumbed through the stock filter housing. For whatever reason my mechanic plumbed the FASS direct to the injection pump. No reason to install my new polished lid. I originally bought it to use as a replacement cap for the plastic cap. I already have my f/p gauge tapped at the pump.

When I received the cap, I was impressed at the quality. It really is a nice piece. Now I'm using it as a paperweight until I find my '03-'04 CA SO regular cab 4x4 with a 48re :D

That cap is made right here in Redlands by a member,I am surprised you didn't see them when I was showing them at our events.

Hi Bob! Made by who in Redlands? I know it isn't me! Who would have thought, another member in the big city of Redlands!!!!!

sam

Bob, The question is, is it a practical ? If it makes it a pain in the arse to change out the filter, I don't want it. When you unthread the cap, does the fuel pressure hose get all tangled up, or is there some sort of swivel device which spins along with the cap?
