I just ordered a cup smoothie after reading about it on this site and finding out that they do hold large cups.

My new holder showed up today and is a bit different than what is pictured in their ads.

It has 2-cup holders on the right side and one rectangular pocket on the left, turned sideways. Making more room for the 6-speed stick. This is cool as neither cup get in the way of shifting.

Sticky cup holder

One thing that I noticed with my DTD is that If I put my Mountain Dew in the factory cup holder (auto), when I hit a bump it causes a little Dew fountain. Is it the same with the smoothie?

Btw, nice rig!

My cup smoothie works fine with a variety of cups/bottles/cans. The only time the shifter hits it is when I am trying to shift too fast and yank it down instead of shifting normally.

Thanks Rob,

I am running out of armor-all wipes

If I get a smoothie is there anything cool I can do with the factory cup holder. Just lookin fer ideas.

I wiped my cup smoothie down with alcohol and painted it to match the interior gray... not a perfect match, but close. I used paint from Dodge.

I have the 6spd, so don't know about the cupholders on an auto!

Hey Rattle Tap-

I will post a pic hopefully tomorrow of what I did to the space previously occupied by my stock cup spiller!! I mounted my auxillary switches and hour meter in that space, and it looks pretty good. And should I ever change my mind, I can always replace it with the the factory spiller. And NO, Genos smoothie does not have the spring diving board effect that the stock one has. Works great. Only complaint is it was a pain to adjust the spring catch on the console. (But worth it!):D :D :D :D :D :D

I just put a pair of visegrips on it and rotated the catch notch up til it closed like I wanted it to.

And every once in a while, I remind my wife not to slam it... I don't want the dreaded broken console hinge problem!

I bought one from Geno's while in Muncie, they let me go try it on and see if i liked it before i bought it.

i came back a few minutes later with money in hand and told them it was a deal.

the only thing i have found that it wont hold is; a big bottle of Gator aid. the cup holder on the floor will hold it though.

the best part is, you dont have to take your seat belt off, climb out the window, and over the roof, to get around to the passenger side to get your drink. as with the factory holders. LMAO

I like mine on trips... cup smoothie for me and wife, factory holders for our daughter.

Of course, we rarely pass a rest area without stopping... .

Photo request

I would like to install a smoothie, but have a CB mounted vertical up against the center seat cushion. I'm afraid the smoothie will either sit on the face of the CB or completely restrict reaching the knobs. Does someone have a photo of the side view of the smoothie showing how far it extends towards the front of the seat? I have a 2001, for the purposes of identifying the armrest type. Thanks in advance for any assistance!!

David :D

Appreciation!

Thanks Rob! I appreciate you taking the time to photograph and post. From the looks of the photo, the front comes to the edge of the seat but doesn't hang over. Looks like I would be able to get the the volume knob alright, but the channel selector would be another story. Ah, who changes channels that much anyway :p I figure reaching the stock drink holders would be a little difficult (6 speed) after the smoothie install... . but we are trying to get away from them anyway, right!

See ya and thanks again!!

I don't know what I like more

I don't know what I like more, Geno's service or my cup smoothie. :p

F**D take a lesson from Dodge..... if you design an inferior product... make provisions for the aftermarket mods! i. e. adjustable latches... .
