I don't know how many of y'all been at Geno's Garage website, but $10.95 each for Mopar oil filters is a sweet deal and hard to beat! I bought 12 of them.

Cheers, Ron

Guys, I'm clarifying with Genos on this. TDR has published articles evaluating oil filters and Fleetgard makes Mopar filters and has rated them the same, so appeared both were StataPore.

This is the filter that came on my truck and what Ram dealers install on your truck when they do an oil change.

Be interesting what they say, but you could be right. Damn. Ron

Well, let me humbly accept 2018 Dum Bass of the year for incorrectly determining Mopar 5083285AA is rebadged Fleetgard Stratapore. It is rebadged Fleetgard and it is the filter Cummins installed on the engine at the factory and it is cellulose, but not Stratapore.

Although I am disappointed in my mistake, I'm still going to use the Mopar filters I purchased and they will keep me in warranty with Ram for oil filtration on my engine.

So, live and learn.

I have done the same thing on different products. I have used cheaper filters for some of my cars, just changed them more often. Sometimes hard to sift through what is hype, and what's the real truth. Bottom line, as long as they meet spec, I use them.

With the Stratapore I have ZERO concern running full 15k oil changes.

Most likely will be switching to the AMZ/OIL Donaldson since Cummins decided to start making the filters in MEXICO!

And the whole Truck is made in Mexico.

And as a side note, the Chrysler Mexico plant was more then once rewarded for building the best quality vehicle of all Mopar factorys wordwide.

So, I'm proud on my mexican Ram.
