Hi,

I Have a 94 2500 automatic that is pretty much stock, i would like to give it a bit more pep.

Have been thinking about upgrading the exhaust anyone use this kit to get rid of the muffler does it make a noticible difference?

Is it alot louder? Have you had problems with the law or inspection place with the muffler off?

Is it worth it or should i look for a complete new exhaust kit?

I used it and it was a LOT louder. I had no EGT trouble before and none after, go figure:rolleyes: . It is louder, beware of that, if you do not put a lot of miles on your rig it will not be a big deal. If you put 30+ miles a day on it leave the muffler alone!!

Look for zero to no gain in power from deleting the cat and muffler from your truck, just noise and perhaps a small EGT reduction. If you are not having EGT trouble leave the muffler alone and put a plate in it, MHO.

How does it install is it jusst clamp on or do you have to weld it togheter.

I was hoping i could swap it in and out when i wanted to?

You may or may not be able to put it in and take it out. I was not, they put a pretty good sized groove in the pipe when they tightened my exhuast at the factory. I had to cut my muffler off with a sawzall, it was wasted in the process. On a 94 I think you will have to cut the clamps off at a minimum, and buy 2 new clamps. I would doubt that you can re-use your muffler too, but I could be wrong. You are gonna have to try to get it out to know for sure.

The Geno's ME kit just clamps in place.
