Genos underseat storage

Anyone using one of these? The new steel drawer that bolts up under the seat, if so what are your impressions.

I bought one last month. It lives up to everything the ad says. I like it, but the price is too high.

They mention it wont fit under a DRIVERS SIDE power seat, but will it fit under a passenger side power seat? There seems to be more room under the motor, but i was just wondering if maybe you already asked them that question?.

Hey drag racer, which side did you mount your underseat storage box (driver or passenger)? Also, what color is it? Does it look like a real high quality item?

I put it under the passenger (non-power) seat. It will not fit under under any power seat. It is black in color, and is of pretty high quality (weighs approx. 15 lb. !). It is easy to install, and the drawer slides and latches very smoothly. It sort of reminds me of a safe-deposit box drawer. As I mentioned, I'm happy with everything but the price. The main reason I bought it anyway is to better utilize otherwise wasted space - as you know, we are volume and space challenged without a true crew cab. I also installed the factory Mopar lockable storage unit which goes under the rear seat for the same reason.

Thanks for the response drag racer. I've been thinking about ordering one although, with all my other projects in work I sort of forgot about it. I guess I'll call Geno's Garage later today.

John, if you want to take a look at the box, I have one. I've had mine since last sept. and am happy with it. The only two shortcomings are that they are unsupported in the rear and tend to bounce which can be noisy depending upon what you have in it. The other is that it hangs up on Catch-all floormats... but thats very minor. Let me know if you want to take a peak at it.

Hey Greg, thanks for the offer. I didn't get a chance to order one of the storage compartments yesterday as I was out ALL DAY LONG running errands. You know, I was just about up in your neck of the woods yesterday too... isn't that just the way it goes.

underseat storage

Saw em in Geno's and had to have the newest toy. Seems to be really good construction, like a good tool drawer. Also saw them elsewhere later for mucho more $$$!! I did put hardware in mine and the rattle drove me nuts on a long run, so I made that uneasy trip into a fabric store and got (the lady said) good adhesive felt to line it. Drawer is quiet, I am quiet, all is good!!
