Here we go again!

I went 6 1/2 months and now the passenger side is broke agian. Same 'ole symptom. The passenger side low beam is stuck on. I noticed after about 30 minutes of a lunch break my single side head lamp was on. Not good. Lifted hood, and sure enough---the wire was HOT. So I pulled the fuse and lightb went out. Man this is really getting old!

I thought that the NEW design Brite-box would fix this issue. I sure don't reccommend anyone with a 2006 Ram ever buy these things!

Sorry Gino's. This mod is bad news. I give up. Anyone wanna buy a slightly used myoptic brite-box? Modded for an eye patch-wearing Ram owner :D

THE PROBLEM IS WITH 2006 & 2007 TRUCKS!!!!!!!

I haven't had any problem with the High & Low beam part of the bright box but the feature of the fog lights staying on with the high beams has never worked.

Wow. I had them 3 years on my '03 w/o a problem.

I'll be watching this thread with interest. I've been thinking about ordering a set for my new truck.

I had them on a truck with the day time running lights turned on... it burnt out 2 of their boxes even though the day time running lights were on low beam not high... so I threw the things away... .

Great people, good product.

I put the bright box with fog on my truck about 3 years ago. I had a problem with the passenger side box blinking on and off. I called Genos and they sent me a replacement unit that solved the problem. I recently changed the lightbulbs to some 8500K bulbs and found the plug corroded on the driver side. I called Genos and they said it would be faster if I called the manufacturer direct. I called the bright box people and they mailed me the needed pigtail along with shrink wrap to use after my solder job. All this done with no cost to me. In a perfect world products would always work and never need service. In the real world I think its great to find a company that offers a solution to my problem and stands behind their products.

I've been running Brite Box for 2-3 years w/no problems. I can't recommend it for shining light down the highway where it's needed, but it sure lights up the area immediately in front of the truck. On the other hand, so would a good bonfire. The problem remains DC's faulty reflector. The Brite Lite addition won't fix that. Only additional lights will help and that's self-defeating for those who don't want to buy light bars or brush guards.

The issues are with 2006 and 2007 Ram's with a CANBUS wlwctrical system. That's why some of you with older trucks do not have the problem.

Great! Maybe I can just refund these VERY expensive boxes! I WILL let you all know how it goes... .

x's 2 - I have the Brite Box and Fogzilla, the short to mid-range is very improved but long range still needs help.

Again, a very big improvement over stock though.

Some very brilliant minds here on TDR figured out how to physically modify the multi function switch to allow the driver to manually select HI or LO and fog beams or manually select HI and LO and FOG beams while driving simply by using the oem multifunction switch
.
The mod involves removing the switch from the truck (EASY) and slightly modifying the switch housing (slightly trickier, but still not difficult) to allow the particular selection of lights that you want to run.

I did it on my 2005 a couple years ago, BECAUSE of the Brite-box failures that I was reading about back THEN. It is a relatively simple (AND FREE) mod that yields excellent results, evn better when you upgrade to Phillips Xtreme-Power bulbs in ALL head and fog light locations.

Here is one of the links to the mod--
