Genos wood grain cover is Great!!

I just bought the Genos Garage wood grain cover that is the one piece design plus the door covers.

I got the same one and I'm very happy with it also. I had originally ordered the 15 piece set, but I sent it back and got the Husky-made one piece... It's much nicer.

went on real easy, they give you a sponge to do the alchohol on the dash then you put the alchohol on the 3m tape to make it less effective for a sec then press into place. I recomend taking the ring out of the truck and doing it on the bench much easier.

QUESTION...

EricBu12, does the 3-piece burl wood dash kit look like the real thing? The reason I ask is because I have seen fake burl wood dash kits in many different vehicles... some look very close to real while others look (let's just say) not so real from even ten feet away.



..... just wondering



BTW, one of the burl wood dashes I've seen that really looks fake is the OE one in the Rams with the Off-Road package.

It looks good.

As you can see in pic 2 of the door one, there is a very good burl grain. it is a composit material but the look is very good.

Eric, I have the same color dash as yours and after seeing the wood grain kit, I gotta have one. But, my only question is how do you get the instrument panel "ring" off. I don't find any screws and don't want to start prying and break something. Thanks in advance.

My 2001 just pulls off. No screws. Just start in one corner and work around it pulling a little at a time.

Steve,

Do what steve just said. they have push/pull clips like the a-pillar was.

start at a big spot where you can get a grip and start pulling

it pops right off.
