In case anyone is researching shock absorbers in the future...

I just received a set of genuine Mopar shock absorbers for my 2014 Ram 3500 dually (a non-air bag version). They were manufactured by Magneti Marelli in Brazil.

Magnetti Marelli manufactured the first generation fuel injection on Harley Davidsons..
they've been around for awhile, its possible Stellantis owns the company.

Interesting, the front and rear shocks on my 15 Rear Air were all US Made.

I have a set of takeoff's from my sons 2016 3500 single wheel , taken off when new ,yes they are also US made , I am still running my stock shocks on my 2014 , I suspect they are about due with nearly 80K . None of them have had a leak , but they got a lot of fifth wheel miles on them .

serious question? why overpriced Mopar shocks when really good aftermarket shocks are less than half the price? https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...charged,3353666,suspension,shock+/+strut,7556
If that question was for me…

The main reason is I that was very satisfied with the handling and cushy ride that my 2014 3500 dually came with from the factory and I simply want to restore the truck's ride back to what it was then (when new). After careful research, I wasn’t sure a set of generic aftermarket shocks could achieve that exact original ride and handling, but reasoned that the Mopar shocks should.

I also don’t want a firmer ride, so that rules out the usual list of popular upgraded aftermarket shocks that we typically install in our trucks. I had blue/yellow Bilsteins on my 2001 2500 and it was a stiff ride. But I needed that extra dampening because we used to tow a bumper-pull travel trailer with a heavy tongue weight. Porpoising caused by freeway expansion joints was hell before the Bilsteins. I don’t have that problem anymore with the 3500 dually as we tow a 5th wheel trailer.

I’m betting two MOPAR shocks are available. The OE on your truck were most likely USMade, mine were.

I noticed when wanting OE wipers the dealer had two available. One can’t remember but it was a different manufacturer at a lower price.

The front and rear Mopar shock kits (a kit includes a new shock and mounting hardware) that I ordered are the only current, correct part numbers available for my truck's particular configuration and was verified by two different dealerships. There ARE many variations of shock kits listed if you simply look up a particular year and model Ram truck, but only one of those part numbers was correct for my given truck's configuration. Case in point, there are 14 different shock kits listed for the rear of a 2014 Ram 3500, but only one is correct for mine.

There have been many part number cancellations and supersessions over the years.

JLandry, where did you locate and purchase them at?
Since Geno's doesn’t carry them, I ordered the Mopar shock absorbers through one of the many Chrysler dealerships selling parts through eBay. It was seller “bamparts” located in Brunswick, Ohio. I had no problems with the order. It was packaged properly and shipped reasonably fast.
