MY SERVICE MANUAL SAYS TO SERVICE/CHANGE MY TRANSMISSION OIL WITH SAE 5W-30 ENGINE OIL. .
IS THIS THE HOT THING TO USE. . LOTS OF DISCUSSION ABOUT THIS transmission NOT HOLDING UP UNDER MORE HP AND TORQUE. . MUST BE BETTER FLUID TO USE??

Rocketman,I did some reasearch on that topic and found out the lube they have been useing is Havoline 30weight,and for some reason it has to be Havoline, not other brands. Becouse they changed my fluid today useing Havoline. This info comes from transmission specialist who were useing Castorial synthetic 5 speed lube, they switch to the Havoline 30weight,hope this helps.

Guys,

I use Amsoil 5w30. (No I am not a dealer). I was skeptical at first, but several shops recommend it for manual transmissions. Mike at "The Power shop" swears by it. I did notic e better smoother shifting especially in cold weather. I've had it in mine for @60,000 miles.
