Getrag in a 1994??

I know it sounds stupid, but could it be easily done? I mean my auto trans went out and i have a free getrag g360. could that easily be fitted to the truck. the 1992 the getrag came out of was 4 wheel drive, as well as the 1994 it will go in. The only thing i'm concerned about is how the transfer case hooks up. any ideas??

Your 241 case has an input shaft that is smaller and different spline. You would need a 241 off a stick shift.



On our 205's the case can be bored for the larger bearing the bigger shaft uses. I am not sure on the 241's.



Don't forget us 1st gen people. There a many looking for a rebuildable 47RH that 94 has in it.

Don't forget that the 2nd gen a driver diff drop front axle, and we have a passenger side drop.

The adapter and length would be a big question. You will also need a t-case from a manual to get the correct shaft size. Not sure if those will swap without machining.
