Got my Getrag and transfer back from the rebuilder on Friday, put it in on Saturday. Really wanted to do a NV5600 conversion, but just don't have the $$ right now. I knew that the trans had been making some noise, but I didn't realize how much! Getting the clutch lined back up was a bit of a chore. The main case was cracked at the top of the input bearing hole and the input bearing and shaft were junk. Luckily, the rebuilder had a good used case that he hooked me up with, as well as new input shaft, all new bearings and syncros. While it was down, I installed the 16cm2 housing on the turbo. Didn't notice a big difference, but have not installed the POD's or tweaked the pump yet. Got to get the 4" exhaust built first! :D

Well keep us updated on how the big bad rebuilt getrag treats ya. This way we can see if a rebuild is worth it, and if your rebuilder is any good...

The PODs will put some serious kick to the Cummins. They will require the tweaking to get the most from them, after that, the way you use the throttle will control the smoke. I think you're gona like them.
