Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Anyone have any experience with some of the ebay stores that sell (new)Getrag parts? Are the better known distributors & TDR vendors getting to be like Bosch, and sticking it to us? Or is it truly a "get-whatcha-pay-for" deal, with the TDR vendors selling lot better stuff? Though I did talk to Standard Transmission this week, and he said stuff has increased in price 3 times this year so far. 
What brand are the bearings in normal rebuild kit? The bearings on the '90 transmission are KOYO; are they the most common? So far, I have priced the rebuild kit (synchros, bearings, and seals/gaskets) and an input shaft for less than the rebuild kit alone at Standard Transmission. This transmission is going into the 90, which is going to be sold, and I am also trying to save every penny I can for horseshoeing school, so that is an extra $250-300 I can put there. But, I also dont want the transmission to start grinding and whining on the buyer, who may well come back to me and want it fixed on my dime. Plus I might have one of those days where I'd feel bad if someone ended up broke down on the side of the road.....
