Getrag shifter adjustment

Just got a rebuilt G360 and installed it the other day. I cannot get it in or out of first or second gear unless the truck is moving. 3,4,5,and reverse work fine. This is a problem with the truck running or shut off. The truck has 450,000 miles on it. The forks seems to move fine with the shifter out. Is there a way to adjust the shifter?

sounds like your syncros are messed mine did that before it died

If you bought a rebuilt Take it back like he said the syncro's are no good . I would be making a phone call to ask for there Help also .
