Getrag transmission?

Hey guys, as you can tell from my sig. Im a 2nd Gen driver from next door 2002. I finally got my dad convinced to get away from those nasty Ford gassers, and buy a new 05, or 06 Dodge this fall after harvest. I remember reading earlier something about the newer 3rd Gen's switching to a Getrag 6spd. transmission. Is this true, and if so, how does it perform in comparison to New Ventures? Mine is an NV-5600 and I have had NO problems what so ever. Any info appreciated!

ITS NOT A GETRAG. Its made by Damiler. Its a in house 6 speed thats been produced for a number of years. Theres a whole family of Gxxx manual transmissions and the G56 is just one of them.
