getter covers

Im going to have some folks come out this week to give me some pricing on covers for the gutters on my house. I wondered if anyone has had any experience with either Gutter Helmet or Mastershield.

What a getter cover?

I have more than my fare share of over hanging Live Oaks, Chinese Pitache tree etc that make me pull my hair out annually. With 21 acres and about nine miles of gutters on my motel to clean weekly, I can think of a zillion things more fun to do. I have tried and spent more money on getter guards than I care to disclose. With that being said, I suggest that you keep the money in your pocket and continue to clean your getters the old fashion way.

Whenever you get a getter clog, and you will, you'll be cussing up a storm trying to unclog your getter with all that extra mumbo jumbo in the way. It literally takes less effort cleaning your getter's the old fashion way and produces a better outcome.

Ive had the leaf gutter on the back of the house for about 20 or 25 years. It works pretty good. Maybe every 10 years I see something growing out of it so they come out and clean it out for free. I think the same is true of gutter helmut and the other one. But I dont know if they work as well as leaf guard.

The gutter I want to protect is up pretty high and I dont like getting up on the ladder that high and just hangin out in space anymore.
