I stopped in at my 5 star dealer today to have them check why my heated seats wouldn't heat and also to apply the TSB for quicker warm up. (TSB 18-019-01)

After checking the seats they determined the CTM just wasn't turning the heat on. This may explain the no-reason alarm I had in Bristol this summer. A new one is supposed to arrive later this week. Then the service manager told me that my truck already has this software in the computer! My truck was built April 30, 2001 in St. Loius. Can anyone tell me for sure whether their truck built on or after that date already has this function? My understanding was that they did not come with this already installed.

The next question is, can you apply the exhaust brake to further speed warm up? I have the Jacob's E-brake.

If you're asking how to turn on the e-brake, I dunno. If you're asking if it's an ok thing to do, yes, it's a good thing to do. It'll help it warm up quicker and will raise the exhaust temps when it's idling. Low idling temps (especially for long periods of time) are bad. That's why a lot of guys have a "high Idler" or the updated software. The e brake will work good to warm it up. I don't have one, so I'm getting a high idler.
