Anyone using the Cummins RoadRelay 4?

Oil Change Cost?

Well my old vehicle finally sold, so tomorrow my truck goes to Jeff Garmon's shop for a Suncoast Torque Converter and Valve-bodyOo.

While it's up there I am going to have Jeff advance the timing some. What are some recommendations as far as amount? I have heard anything from 16-20. What are the plus's and minus's of say going as high as 20? All I plan for my truck is 350-400HP with a little towing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks ya'll.

Will;

I'm running 20° timing.

With timing higher than 16-17° you give up lower rpm performance.

With governor springs it is really nice when you get into the rpm range of 2750 & higher.

I lost mileage.

Wnter performance is really great. It smokes less, starts easier and doesn't struggle as much to gain rpm.

I'm going to drop back to 17° this year and get the trany updated so it can hold the normal diesel power range of low rpm.
