Getting close to a new 2008

Hello



I am tired of the little things now with my 99 it is getting to be unreliable for long trips. I am looking at a new 2008 megacab 3500.



I come before you with questions.



2nd genners who have moved up to the 6. 7.



are we happy??



would you do it again??



if you are not happy Why?



Any advice or anything that you need to add would be great.

I'm very satisfied with mine but, to be honest, I was a little skeptical about the effect that meeting 2010 emission standards might have on pickups so I ordered a chassis cab.



6. 7L engines are quieter, the trucks are a little more refined, and the engines are smooth and powerful. Six speed automatics are a big improvement over the old 47/48RE automatics.

are we happy?? Very happy - but, gets 10% less MPG



would you do it again?? - so far, yes I would - stock power is awesome



if you are not happy Why? - ... well, my wife - wait - that is a different story!



Any advice or anything that you need to add would be great. - I wish I had the 6CD radio and steering wheel radio controls like my last two trucks had!

So Far So Good

Only 500 miles on it so far.



Love the improvements over my 97.



Stock power is close to what I have now.



Transmission is light years ahead of mine.

Rear DVD



Sirrus radio



Steering wheel controls



MEGA CAB !!!!!



Dual level center console



6 CD Changer in dash



Wish my Mega cab had rear air like the earlier ones.



Fun to drive !



Did I mention I liked the transmission?



Oh yeah and

the brakes

Exhaust brake too.....





Good truck so far



And 9,000. 00 off dealer invoice = about 13,700 off MSRP



I hear Les at Dave Smith Dodge (Idaho) can do even better...

I have been talking with Dave Smith dodge and working with a salesman there.



I love my 99 dodge truly love it



However I have spent over $3000 over the last 3 years On AC issues alone. every time it goes out again it is just outside the warranty.



front steering same thing I have all the upgrades lukes links DSS. I have spent a small fortune on ball joints. and yes I put the greaseable ones in.



the constant failure of the vacuum pump seal, the transfer case seal leak that never goes away



I am leaving on a trip to Houston soon to deal with moving my mom away from the hurricane zone after losing her house to IKE so I am looking at a truck a bit more reliable. Will the 6. 7 liter be even better?? I do not know.





I am looking very hard at the new 6. 7 Mega Cab
