Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Getting ready to collect parts for twins... ????ss

I'm getting ready to collect parts to do twins on my 98 12 valve. . I possibly will be getting a s400 to put under my stock hx35. . I am pretty much a turbo retard. . I was wondering if the s400 would be better than a 3b??? Will I need external wastegates?? I will prolly not do any other mods than what is in my sig. This truck is a daily driver/tow rig. I have orings and studs already. . I plan on buying most of the parts from source automotive, is there anyone else that sells twins parts?? Thanks Wesley
