Dometic Freezer cold, Refrigerator not cool

Hot water heater problem

Hey guys I need some help. My parents both in their 50's just bought a motor home. Oo. Now I would like to know what to get them? As far as gifts, must haves and so on. I already bought them a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher.

Thanks. -Jason

Get them a sign that says "if the camper is a rockin, don't come a knockin" :-laf

(I say that because when I was a little kid my parent's had bought a pop up and it had that sign... took me a few years to figure out what it meant)

Buy them a gift certificate for diesel!

We've been fulltiming for 9 years and learned early there is only so much room to put "thangs". Our suggestion is to give them gift certificates or gift cards. They can be for restaurants, gas stations [Flying J's or Loves Truck Stops are just about everywhere]. Camping World is a great gift card and so in our opinion is Wal*Mart, Home Depot and Lowes. Big Name stores like Penneys, Sears etc are also great. You could also offer them a magazine subscription [check with them first to see if they would like it] to Motorhome and Good Sams Highways Magazine are both good. Another nice part about a certificate or gift card is they appreciate it when they get it and think of you again when they use it. Hope this helps, Diana

A set of nice folding recliner chairs. One thing I have learned after RVing for a while, it's not so much what you have, it's what you actually USE! There's lots of cool stuff, but in the end, most of it is just stuff! A GC to Camping World would be cool, pay to make them President's Club members.

I'll second the subscription to Trailer Life magazine. Also maybe the Trailer Life Directory of RV parks. How about membershpis to KOA and Good Sam.

Get 'em a pre-paid phone card so they can call and rub it in that they're retired and you're not!

how about some more power if it has a cummins

It doesn't have one. It has a FORD(yuck) V10. And poor old Dad worked for Chrysler for 30 years.

Thanks for all the ideas. I think I will go the gift card route. Then they can get what they want. -Jason

If their MH does not have an automatic leveling system, go get 2 packages of the Orange "stop-n-chock" leveling system. these are plastic tiles that interlock so you can stack up a ramp for leveling. . also available is a wheel chock that locks into it... much better than boards

Here is a system that is sililar but more HD.
