Whats is involved with putting in one of their Walbro lift pumps? Do I need to drop the tank? Is it just splicing into existing fuel lines? I would like to do it now, but if I have to drop the tank I would rather wait until my stocker is getting worse.

Also, any other benefits besides better fuel pressure? Scotty

I installed my pump along the inside frame close to the tank. I have an in tank pump that was left to strain the fines in the tank and works in conjunction with the walbro pump drawing fuel from the tank. I did this on recomendation after talking with GDP. Seeing no less than 10psi WOT. Good luck.

So you didn't actually ahve to drop your tank to do the install? That is what I am trying to avoid, but it does make good sense to add the fuel tank vent mod while I am in there. Scotty

If you want to. No fuel tank vent mod was suggested to me. I didn't have to drop the tank. Just ran the new fuel line from the tank sender to the new frame mounted pump and then from the new pump on forward. Since you have a newer truck the only thing to check is if you have any working room to replace the line from the new pump to the intank sending feed line. Again, I didn't have to drop the tank and with my setup I'm seeing no less than 10 psi WOT.

Good deal, thanks for the gouge, thinking about it, it might be worth dropping the tank to do the vent mod. Scotty

Dropping the tank

You NEED to drop the tank. The reason is you have a very small pickup tube that defeats the purpose of having all this other stuff that will be getting limited fuel flow. You don't need a 1/2" kit,. . you need 3/8" kit, IMO. Why? Because it serves NO purpose to have huge pickup and hose all the way to the CP3 and then have it narrowed,. . the 3/8" will flow all you ever will need if you have a quality lift pump. Do yourself a favor and do it once and do it right. Go with Mitusa, FASS or GDP.
