I hit a pot hole in the road yesterday and my glovebox just fell off! There was a crack in the mounting hinges and I was in the process of developing a fix for it but it looks like the whole right lower part of the dash needs replacing. Anyone know of a interior part number listing or fix for this? Thanks,

Steve

Thanks...

Hey, thanks for the Mopar parts linky. I got on and remembered about 10 things that need replacing in the interior and placed an order. Darn if these trucks dont fall apart from the inside out! #@$%! I'm going to call chrysler customer care and start working on getting them to replace the glove box. If that doesn't work, i'll start on a custom hinge to fix this issue because the glove box alone is almost $200. The lower dash assembly that has the mating hinge did not have a price listed so I requested a price. It should be spendy, for sure. As a fix, I'm thinking about a piano hinge with epoxy and screws to get this thing back on. I doubt it would be visible unless you were lying on the floor looking up at it. Anyway, i'll keep you posted about the fix.

Chrystler customer care...

Well, I called chrystler customer care and talked with Ryan who just happens to live in INDIA about my glove box falling off. Of course, they can offer me no assistance because i'm a little over my warranty. (Go figure  ) I really felt disconnected with the company after this call. But as we have always known... I am my own warranty station!!!

On to the fix soon... .
