GLTDR March 16th

Muncie

MCC will host our "2nd annual BOMB session" in the Automotive Lab March 22, 2003. The Automotive Director was so impressed with the 1st session held in March 2002 that we have been invited back.

This year we will have access to two drive on hoists large enough to lift our trucks, as well quite a few "post hoists". I will open the Lab at 8:00 am and we must vacate by 4:00 pm.

We will again grill burnt hotdogs and have pop and coffee to keep everyone going.

For those who were not here last year, the college is located north east of Detroit. I do not have the means or "computer savy" to post a map. So, as the time gets closer I will, once again. call on Doc Tinker for this task

Awesome! Count me in.

Also, see post on the Jan get together. We have a diesel injection shop hosting an "open house" sort of thing in Lansing.

GLTDR lives on... .

Thanks for setting up the Macomb Community College Event last year and again this year.

Just to recap last year's event. . We had about 25 trucks inside the building. Every truck in the place got some kind of repairs or upgrades. Everyone helped each other through-out the day and we had a great time.

Paul Herioux brought some excellent marinated venison down from the UP, to make the burnt hotdogs go down a little easier. Maybe he got lucky and bagged enough deer to do it again.

Pictures of last year's event

Hope to see you all there again. If you didn't make it last year, don't miss out on this one, it was a Five Star event.

Sorry gentlemen.

For the first time in 7 years I got skunked during deer season. Should I get lucky and get a donation from someone trying to cure my VT's before then I will try to sneak some down.

Bill, make sure to tell Stan to keep his calender clear this time.

How about that new piece of equipment in the SW corner?

;)

See you all in January.

I'm there

Could someone give me the name of the town were the College is so I can get directions and Hotel reservations.

If you guys don't mind I'll post this over on the DTR and see if some of those guys would like to join us as well. :)

DarrellB, We are located in Warren, Mi I think this should be posted on the TDR and GLTDR sites only. The reason for this, is MCC would like us to keep it to 50 people, although we can fudge the numbers a LITTEL.

The hotel a few of us stayed in was in Roseville. If you do a search, I think all the old threads with the maps and directions should come up.

I'm their , I hope

As it stands right now, I am going to try and make this years event. God willing and we don't invade Iraq, course it could be over by then. Could a torque converter be install at this event?

Paul Herioux,

You are absolutely right, there is a Dyno here, don't know what i was thinking - DUH. But, I was informed today that it still isn't working and likely never will.

thepitts,

Eric, if you want to install a T/C I will put your name on one of the drive-on Hoists. Hope you can make it this year, haven't seen you since Muncie 2001.

I'll be there also, other than the burnt dogs, what will be some of the high-lights? Who's BOMBin' what? Any majior tasks?

Later, Rob

Damn it

I won't be able to make it that day :( Last year was great and I was really looking forward to this year.

Even though I cannot make it, I can still make arrangements to have a KDP jig available that day. Any interest in killin' a few KDP's?

Count me in, if I get some extra funds maybe I will upgrade the turbo. Does anyone one want to convoy ? Steve you won't catch me off guard this time ;). I might bring the 5th wheel if the camp ground is open.

For those not familiar with last year's event, it was great! I was new to the diesel truck thing then and learned a lot. I would like to show up just to watch and maybe help some one else. Since then, I have added bigger injectors (275 hp), a Bully Dog Torque Dog Plus, and 5" exhaust. My guages are still sitting in their boxes, but should be in by then. By the way Bill, my son still talks about the tour you gave him and the Viper.
