Are 24V's welcome? Its just a little over an hour away from me down here around Terre Haute (if I take the back roads). Scheids Terre Haute store is about 20 minutes to the south of me. I've been to Lafayette alot but never to Scheids there. Would be fun!
That would be great if you could come. We are trying to cover some stuff that all of the 12 and 24 vlave guys could use. Let me know if you can make it. Thanks!
There are two CTD's that I see just about everyday on campus, and I didn't know if they belong to this crowd or not. The first is a 24v 2500 ext cab, green and grey, cowl hood, nice wheels. I normally see it in the C lot up by the stadium. The second one is a 12v 2500 std. cab, maroon and grey, has a nice turn down on the exhaust. I normally see this truck in the Wood St. parking garage, as that is where I park everyday. These belong to anybody in this group? Or do I need to start harassment procedures to bring them to 'the dark side?'
By the way, my truck is dark red/maroon, and has a topper on it right now, and a 4" exhaust that hangs a little too low.
Anytime before 12:10 today would be great. Tomorrow I will be around with the exception of 10:30 to 11:30. I am in the Life Science Plant and Soils building room 228. THis building is just south of Lilly Hall. They are actually hooked together. If you smell hay, that is my office (don't ask, I will explain later). See you soon.
Is there a college in Indiana that doesn't have a Lilly Hall? My wife went to Butler and I went to University of Indianapolis and they both have a Lilly Hall.
This will be a great experience as I have never sat down and talked performance with Kent.
Kess and I met with Dan Scheid and Les today. Here is the newest scoop. We are going to meet at 9:30 to 10:30 for coffee and donuts. This is a good time to look at each others trucks etc. We will start everything off right at 10:30. We will break up into two or three groups depending on the number of people. In addition to the previously listed events, there will be a P7100 and a VE pump torn down for us to look at. There are also going to be 3 tractor pulling engines on display. One has 3 turbos and one is a B5. 9 with twins. Dan is going to have his 2003 truck there and Kent is going to go through some of the new diagnostic procedures on it. Hope Kent does a good job, or Dan won't have a ride home. Product dislplay will range from emmsions aproved stuff up through pulling stuff. There are also going to be a variety of injectors disassembled for us to look at. Lunch is on Scheids with donations being accepted for the American Breast Cancer Research Fund. All donations will be given in the GLTDR chapter's name. Very nice gesture. Then after 2:30 Les and Dan have agreed to stay around and let us ask questions for as long as we want. Also, there should be room in the shop for some trucks to be pulled in and put on display. Hope to see everyone there.
Ooooh, this is going to be excellent!! You guys have already done a helluva job.
Jeremy: I stopped up at your office about noon on Thurs. I'm pretty sure I was in the right place, smelled like Ag Anyway, I can't make it today, I have to go home and work. I'll try and catch you sometime next week.
We are going to meet at Scheid for donuts. We will be at Scheid until 2:30 or 3. If you guys want to go to Steak and Shake after that, we sure can. Sure bring the DHRA membership forms. I am sure I could qualify with the slowest truck out there.
Good to have ya, and yes there is plenty of room for one more. I think this is going to be a good meeting, but then I should since Jeremy and I put it together. Anywho, come on over.
I just had to add another post with my big mouth. I am probably the only person who doesn't own a digital camera. Is or can someone bring a camera so our fine webmasters can put some pictures on our website? I am sure someone has allready thought of this, but if not I will accept hero status.
Yes there will be a digital camera coming to take pictures. We all know that the only reason you posted was to boost your posts/day numbers. The next thing ya know, you will be starting a thread about putting some ungodly huge turbo on your truck to add to your post count.
