I posted this on the GLTDR website, but thought it would get some exposure here also.

Last Sunday night there was some talk about having breakfast in South Bend on the 16th of March at 10 in the morning. The directions to the restaurant are as follows:

Perkins Family Restaurant

423 Dixie Way(US 31N)

South Bend,IN

Directions: from North,East, and West take Interstate 80/90 (Indiana Toll Road) toExit # 77 which is Notre Dame exit. When you come down off ramp after paying toll, the restaurant is right in front of you close to toll road.

from South: take 31 North to SB and stay on it thru town. (turns to 31 Business).

Restaurant is right before you go under toll road.

Let me know who is interested, and thanks to Brent Minett for the directions.

Thanks,

Kess

If this goes through, I would be glad to open my doors to you good folks. I would be glad to show you about clutches and some of the new things we are working on to harness the mighty power of the DTC. We also have a warm dry place to work on your trucks if there is anything that you would like to do to your truck.

Just throwing in an option, do not feel obligated.

Peter

A chance to meet/tour South Bend Clutch sounds interesting to me. Especially when I know I'm not interrupting work time.

Count me as an 80% yea.

This sounds great to me. Do you guys still want to go to breakfast and then try to go to SBC by 12? Peter, I should be asking you first if this would work.

Philip, I will be coming by IN24, probably should allow for 1. 5 hr from you to South Bend? I don't know, you probably know better, I have never been to South Bend. Where do you think is a good place for us to meet?

Kess

Mapquest shows it as a 73 mile trip. But there are a few stop lights up that way. Plus we have some small towns with slow speed limits in them to go threw. So I would figure it as a 2 hours drive myself.

If Case500D is coming he knows where I live at or we can meet at the Citgo truck stop that is just north of the US24/31 junction.

I think the offer of a tour of South Bend Clutch is a very good idea. I know for myself. I would love a tour.

I will bring my camera with me to.

On a side note. Mapquest shows two locations for this street address. The is a north and south. So which location are we going to the northern one?

This works great for me. I also have a pretty darn good breakfast joint just across the street from our shop if it would help. That way you only need directions to one place. Where you are talking about breakfast is about 15 min. from the shop, not that far.

Our address is. .

South Bend Clutch

709 West Jefferson Blvd.

Mishawaka, In. 46545

Peter,

Sounds great. I think it would be better if we just eat at the place close to you. If we try to meet there around 10-10:30, everyone should be ready to go to your facility by noon or sooner.

Phillip, Jeremy doesn't know if he is going or not. He is always pretty wishy washy, but meeting at that Citgo at 8 on Sunday sounds good to me. Let me know.

Kess

Kess the 8:00 meeting at the Citgo is a go then. The milage to South Bends shop is the same as the orginal eating place. Mapquest show it as a 2 hours drive.

Peter you might want to give the place across the street a little warning we are coming. LOL

Don't count me for sure, but I might meet the clan at Peru truckstop Sunday a. m. Kinda depends on what gets done between now and then :rolleyes: :-{}

Eric

I do not know the name of it. Peter did not give it. So I hope there is only one on that block. I'll find out tomorrow morning.

I just wanted to say thank you to all that came up to my neck of the woods. Also, I wanted to apologize for the confusion on dates and delaying your day. After sitting at the shop four hours on Saturday and then getting a call on Sunday with a group of people sitting in front of the shop was pretty embarrassing. I hope the tour was worth the wait. If you have any questions that you might have thought of on the way home, feel free to call me. Most of all, it is always great to put a face with the names. Now if I can just remember the names to go with the faces. :)

Peter

Just got home 10:00 pm

I would like to thank Peter for a good tour and anwsering our questions. Even on a sunday no less!! It was well worth the drive and good to see more gltdr and tdr members.

THANKS PETER!!
