GLTDR-Last Call

march 29Southern Indiana Gun play

Hi Guys,

Tanks for coming to Scheid Diesel in Lafayette. I had a great time and learned a lot. It was good to put some more names with faces, or maybe I should say some trucks with faces. :D Hope everyone made it home safely. If anyone wants pictures from the event, Philip took a bunch. I can burn them on a CD and mail them to you. Thanks again.

Jeremy

I'd like to see the pictures. I wish I could've been there in person, but the Kodak moments will have to do. Any chance of putting them on the GLTDR webpage?

I had a great time and learned alot. Looking forward to doing some BOMBing with some you in the future.

PS. It took 3. 5 hrs to get home. Should have taken 2. 0 but blowing snow and ice/slush. Truck handled well though.

I also had a great time and was glad to meet some of you. I would like to see the pics one way or another.

My favorite part was watching the pump on the stand. :D Thanks to all who put this thing together and especially all the cool people at Schied!Oo.

Eric

Wow, that storm completely missed Chicago... again. I got back in 2 hours, just a light rain/snow mix most of the way back.

The event was great, definitely worth the trip. Scheid and his guys are very knowledgeable and helpful, and you can tell they enjoy what they do. I learned a lot thanks to the "visual aids. "

Nice to see/meet you guys. Thanks Kess and Jeremy for your efforts.

Andy

Great time!! Thanks to everyone who made it happen. This was the first diesel get together I've ever been to. Sure was nice standing amongst others who want to talk about the Cummins Dodges. Indiana should do this more often!!!

Weather got slick as I headed south to Terre Haute. Unlike all you 4x4 folks, I had a little trouble keeping it straight on slick roads. And I got stuck in Scheids front grass area for the photo shoot. Sank like a 2WD rock... hehe. I managed to rock it out though. I was creeping along to get up there for the photo shoot and I could tell I was sinking fast. Then forward motion stopped :D . Guess I should start looking for a 4x4!

Good time

My son and I had a good time and learned a few things. Was good to meet some more of you guys. Seeing the VE pump in pieces on the table was great. The P pump was a bit more impressive though, I guess. ;)

A big thanks to Jeremy and Kess for the time and effort that made it all happen. Thanks to the crew at Scheids too. Very professional, knowledgeable guys.

By the time I got home, the front of my truck was coated with ice/snow. :) I was surprised not to see any cars in the ditch along I-65.

I'd like some pics, Jeremy/Philip. I took a few of the VE, the P and some first gens if anyone would like 'em e-mailed, just say so. :)

John, that truck of yours is gorgeous! I had forgotten that there is a picture of your truck with my wife next to it! I saved that one!

Thanks. You must be talking about the pic where we were just pulling in to TIM last year. Must have been your wife collecting entry money. We had a great time and only wished we could have stayed more than the one day. We're planning on bringing the camper and staying for the whole thing this year. The truck will look a little better by then too (rusty rocker replacement). :)

JFitzgerald, please email your pics to me, so I can add them to the GLTDR achives. Thanks

Yep, that's my personal financial director. :D

More pics

Hi Guys,

I got a few more pictures from Saturday posted on the GLTDR site. I will get more on as time allows.

Yea it was fun. Talked to some friends on campus till 8:30 the left. Made it to indy at midnight, and then home at 4 am. It is a 2:30 hour dive. Yea the interstates by then were real fun.
