I must agree with Mopars1.

This club has no order to it. It is just a mess. No real meetings as I see it have happened in over a year. I am willing to be a good member and come to meetings when they are called but I just do not have the time to sit and chat and shoot the bull when a meeting is to be taking place their is a time and a place for bull sh_t sessions, meeting time ain't it. Enough said

For this club to survive it must get smaller or it must have sub chapters it is not realistic to expect a man from around saint louis or rockford il or joliet il to come to the middle of indiana or mich or Ohio for that matter just to shoot the bull and eat a pizza. Pretty darn expensive pizza when you add the time, motel and fuel costs into it. Let us all know when the next REAL meeting will take place (try E-MAIL) not just a announcement here. So we all know about it and can attend.

So what can we do?

Chaz, Partyat33 (Dennis) has the copy of the site that Doc sent him and he has the membership list. He asked at the last chat for someone to get in touch with him so he would know who to send the items to. I had the membership list and kept it updated and always sent a copy to Dennis after I updated it. I cannot help that my hard drive crashed loosing all the info I had. I do have a printed copy of the list but do not have excel anymore.



This is not a bashing contest. We DO need to get the website going and have some business meetings to get things ironed out. That is the only way to do it in my eyes. I have spoken to Mark and I believe he is aware of some of the things that need to be accomplished. This club used to be a strong club and I am sure it will be again. It is just going to take time and teamwork to get it back on it's feet. We have to start somewhere though and I am just waiting for something to happen. I don't have any control over the web site deal or being able to send the list. I guess I could copy the list, add the updated material, and then I could snail mail it to you Chaz. Let me know.



edit: As far as I know no-one has asked me for a membership list as of this time.



edit #2: I could also fax the membership list to you Chaz if you have access to a fax machine.

Well hell I have to get into this. I have asked for a copy of the site and got nothing yet. I would love to keep it the same size with all the states. You have to ask yourself what can you do to get it going... ... Not what someone else can do to get it going for you. It's shouldn't matter how long the drive is it almost sounds like well if it's not in my back yard then I'm not going. If you want a get together closer to you then post it. We have weekend long meets in the summer and all day meets on Saturdays in the winter that could turn into weekend long meets. You don't have to drive 8 hrs or make every meet here you just have to post that you want one closer to you and see who turns up. Not to jump on toes but why break up the states? Do you see the other chapters with one or just two states so the members can be closer to each other? You have to make the time and put the effort into doing it. I have asked for active and non active members list and emails and got nothing. You say send us a email to let us know of a online chat not to just post here about one (where is a list of members and emails and I would do it!) I know that there are members out there that can help get this going but don't want to help or take the time to and that just sucks! I would like to see more GLTDR stickers, t-shirts, pens and badges for our trucks. I think we could get GrahpicMan to do the stickers and I can get the t-shirts done but we need to have some more members to help pay for this. I think that we should get a new site going first and then start inviting members and non members to come see it because the old site has nothing on it. You have to start with a base and then branch off. Don't put the cart in front of the horse but the horse in front of the cart. With that being said who can do what to help out?

I have got the site. Sent you a PM two weeks ago for your address, no response. Got a call from Mark on Sunday. He said to hold on to it until further communication. Send me your address and email address and I will send the CD out and the last membership list I have ASAP.

I am a little miffed to say the least probably magnified by the last one and a half years trying to get the club back close to what it once was.



We NEED COMMUNICATION and we are not getting it.

If I did not own a trucking company and also drive I would love to try and make it work. But I can't.

So I guess the GLTDR will die a undeserving death .

I just sent you a email of my address, Sorry I've been sick and I'm still sick but will try to get on this more. It shouldn't just fall on anyone's doorstep or just one. We do need better COMMUNICATION and we need to set a date on GLTDR chat and just talk about the future of GLTDR than girls, vacation time what the weather outside looks like. If you want to talk about that then stay out of the chat room then! I want to see it take off more than anyone else but can't do it alone just need a little help thats all. This should be fun not something you hate to do.....

2 HRs is about my limit in driving for a meet and greet ... Now if its an event like a big truck pull/race ect... and the meet was tagged to it Im there If I can be. Not that I dont want to meet you guys but Im not going to drive 6 hrs to say hi and turn around and drive 6 hrs home.



Even IRP and SDX are Family Vactions for Us ... not just a trip LOL , I Cummute to work so I get about enough of my truck threw the week and Till I get the Passat You cant go to a TDR meet w/o a Diesel



Theres alot of responcibillity to go with this also , I hope TDR gave you guys the Charter ect... as theres more to it then just passing a torch , As I realized its full fledge Parlimentary Procedure meets I opted out of being involved due to the commentment it would require , Kudo's to you guys and Good Luck
