GM newest sales offer

GM has been advertising employee pricing for everyone, just for fun I went to the local Chevrolet dealer last night, they did not have too many diesels, but they did have a crew cab dually 4X4 with every option, sunroof and rear seat DVD. Sticker was $51,400, sale price... . $40,400, that includes a $3000 rebate on the Silverado. Not all dealers are participatng, if they do they have to put a sticker on the vehicle with the employee price, the only vehicles excluded are the Corvette and Hummer, if the dealer chooses to participate they have to do it across the board they cannot do it for some vehicle on the list but not others.

Not going to get one, but a really good deal and having all the pricing on right there so there is no hageling is pretty nice, maybe Dodge will follow suit.

I don't think Daimler-Chrysler will follow suit... they're $ figures aren't hurting near as bad as GM. GM needs to move product now. Typical GM stuff, lackluster products which beg for redesign/styling updates nearly the second they roll off the assembly line.

GM just announced that they are eliminating 25,000 jobs in the next few years. Guess this employee discount offer is to counter the loss of employees to sell GM product to.
