Competition GM Trucks and pulling???

Pardon my ignorance (and my very next sentence :-laf )



I've always liked the looks and comfort of a GM/Chevy, but...



What's up with the tires toeing in so much when pulling?



I have never liked jacked-up IFS Chevys due to the extreme amount of bump-steer and toe change they go through in their suspension travel.



Then I watched the video of the Redding truck pull last weekend, and those Chevys look absolutely lame out there.



It's like the tires are about to pop off and run in front of the truck :--)



I know if I was wheeling in my D-max and my truck did that while pulling out a friend stuck in the mud, I'd be a little concerned about the front end.



Is it inherent in the IFS trucks, or do these trucks just have worn out front ends?

You answered your own question. I've seen those things break, pulling in competition. Both tires layed in. Solid axle here.

Tomac has it figured out to make em pull straight. With his new ATS turbo, he will be giving the Dodges fits this year, with OUT nitrous!

I thought you needed to put a strait axle on gm trucks to make them pull good.

I guess GM trucks aren't really heavy duty, then.

check this clip out... apperently the motors dont like to stay in them either! :-laf ... notice the tires in the back so when the front ones fall off he has a few extra! :-laf :-laf

Well, I guessed right- Tomac was chewing my soot, right up to 3 feet behind me at the DHRA pull.

That ATS turbo, just gave the Chevies a LIGHT YEAR in power. :{



He had more track speed than I did, but still has a problem with driving.
