I want to swap a Cummins into that same kind of truck. I would just like to know how your going to hook up the gauges? Was the cab a off a 5-speed truck? If not, did all the clutch parts still bolt up? Thanks for the info.

My truck when I first bought it was an Auto... had a Turbo 400 in it. I swapped that out for a NV4500 in a weekend (it was pretty easy other than having to reach up under the dash for stuff like electrics). Going to the Dodge 6-speed is just the same other than I have to use the dodge hydrolics on the bottom (I have been told they still bolt up to each other)
As for guages... there all electric so thats a piece of cake! just like the GM did.
