I took my truck into the dealer for some work and they informed me that they had to replace the throttle cabe/ linkage under a recall and every since they did that the pedal is kinda hard to press on... ... any way to loosen up the tension on it? When i wanna give the the go juice i wanna do it but can't because the pedal is so hard to press. Also i looked at the linkage on the pump and the the one cable hangs out aout 1/4 inch past the stop. if i pull on the pedal side of the slack dissapears. Do i need to adjust that and how do I? Any inputs appreciated... . Thanks

Thats why my recall notice is still sitting in the file cabinet.....

I cant see letting some yahoo mess with my truck when its running fine.

I had the recall done to mine and I haven't experienced any problems. Sounds like it's time to go back and tell them to do it right.

my pedal does the same thing, i've flood all linkages with

silicone spray, helps some, but not like it used to be, that

smooth pedal movement that i missed.

thanks

throttle linkage replacment

Do as bigpapa says, take it back to the dealer, have them adjust it also, and have them do it right. if you still have the original cable there, it can and will fray, causing a binding in the cover end of the cable, and maybe break, leaving you stranded. they are also supposed to replace the rod ends because they can give trouble down the road also. its there money, and your time, just an ounce of prevention.

just my penny's worth.
