Go petal hard to push

Help, I have been told that the 89 auto had a problem with a very stiff go petal and there may be a mod to lighten the foot pressure needed to make more speed. Can someone help me out and verify. and if there is a fix what would the pn# be Waiting for the guages to arrive ordered for the 02 and the 93 the 89 will have to wait for a while. Do you think Hillary feels my pain? I wonder if she would pick up the tab?

I have experenced this on several early cummins autos and it has always been the throttle pressure cable to the trans.

Thanks fellows for the replies, again Genos came thru with the tech info i had remember hearing about some time ago now the search will begin for the parts hopefully the nos stuff will still be available. Tks Ken.

Greenleaf, you suggested the tv cable but i wouldn't want my cummins poluted with the sewage that comes over cable here. when my contract is over i think i will subscribe to NTV. wouldnt it be great if we could send the broadcast back like we used to do junk mail

redbadge, thanks for the info made a copy of the fix and will be installing the new parts when I get to Bama. Strange you mention fit for leftys both my children and a brother has a very difficult time turning things the wrong way I haven,t but maybe I had some good schooling working on aircraft in the usaf. I enjoy turning wrenches. Ken
