I'm going back to a 265 tire from my 315 BFG tires. Any ideas on what tires to go with? Bad part is that I need to get the spare too, I've got a 315 spare.

I've got a set of OEM 265/BFG on my truck that only have 7,000 miles that I would be willing to sell if you're interested. I'd like to go to a 285 or 305 RWL.

Given that Michelin still does not offer the LTX-MS 265/70R-17 in an LT version (only P version), I would consider the BFG's. $169 each at Discount Tire. Ouch!

My 315s are bald with 37,000 miles, not bad. I took my 2" front lift off my truck and lowered the back a little, one block. I need to lower it a bit more so it is easier to work out of, stock size tires should lower it a bit more. I should pick up the mpg I lost when I put on my 315s with the 265s.

I would like a better looking tire than a stock tire, but I'm willing to buy some good used stock tires if the price is right. I think my nephew is gonna trade me spare tires, but I have to be sure. I might just trade him one of my old 315 tires for one of his old take off tires. I might have a brand new spare tire for sale.

I would like 265-75-17s

I wish tire makers would produce a 265-75-17, a higher profile tire. I think our trucks would ride a little better w/out low profile tires.

How many MPG did you lose w/ the 315's?

Might want to consider 285's also if you drive fast. The 265's may hurt mpg if you like to run 70 or more.
