I was thinking it's about time to up-date the top and bottom of my truck. I had been running a aluminum tread plater bed caps, and tailgate guard since I bought the truck. The same goes for the side nerf bars, they are the Westin signature series, and thru still good they seem a little bland and dated. I had been thinking about this for a couple weeks and looked at most brands and what they offer. For me, it seems the larger 4" Putco Boss bars have the look I am after. Everyone else is 2 1/2"- or 3" in their bar diameter, and with the addition on the new bumpers, that seems two small. I went with the wheel to wheel ones, and the kick-out for the dually fenders. That looks to be very handy for getting things out of the bed. They are expected to come in around the 2nd of August. For the bed rail caps I changed to the smooth no hole stainless steel one from Putco, called "The Skins". They look nice and will go with the newly painted truck. I also bought the front and rear guards with the same matching style. Then will be here tomorrow if all goes well.

Why not!

I figure you got too much time on your hands. ;) What you need is a Race Horse! They are guaranteed to keep you busy and broke! Hey!!! While I'm at it, there is a maiden filly running a claim race tomorrow. Way I figure it you can drop 8k to claim and my gal pal and I can come to KY to visit!:D

Back on to the nerf bars: I think your right a little bigger, a little bolder. Now all we need are pics of the finished product. Mike

You'll like the "skins", I used stake tie downs and my tool box to hold it in place while the 3M bonded. Haven't had a bad thing to say about them since. I scratched up my tailgate guard pretty bad but after a quick polish you can't even tell, unless you look real close. Protection and style.
