I wanted to add another brand of pads to the "good" list. My stock brakes were starting to squeal alot. I took a look at the factory pads and they looked like solid metal  When shopping for pads I found some Ferodo pads. Ferodo pads were the hot ticket back when I used to road race mototcycles in my braver/dumber days.

The salesman told me there were Ferodos, but they are sold as "Vortex" pads in USA. I dunno if it's the real deal or not...

The pads have been on for about 3K miles. Pedal feel is better, brake dust is non existant. They squeal only on the first stop in the morning. I did not turn the rotors before installing them.

Dane, I tried some Vortex pads (they were blue) on my 2500. They worked excellent but were too hard and wore my rotors beyond turning. Keep an eye on 'em.

Bill,

Thanks for the heads up. I will keep a close eye on the rotors.

Pit Bull,

I agree, better the pad than the rotor. Plus the softer pads usually grip better. What are you running on your truck?

Cheap after market. They only last around 15K miles. I need to find some a little better that might last 25K miles :D
