Alright, I sold the tacoma!! I am now going to start working on the CTD. Included is a picture of the CTD preparing to leave for Indy, where I met the new owner. Friday was a great day. The CTD handled everything perfectly. Set the cruise on 65 and four hours later we were there... .

First thing is to fix a leak

I have attached two pictures of a the pump ass'y on the CTD. The previous owner said that he tackled the leak three times without success. He was replacing the gasket between the entire ass'y and the geartrain cover. I therefore, don't think that is where it is leaking. I am still waiting on my manual so I thought that you guys could give me a jump start. The leak leaves a puddle (1. 5") whenever parked.

The leak is motor oil. As you all know, it is very difficult to see in between the pumps. I got a better look at things through this picture than I had gotten in all my crawling around.

and finally...

Somebody has to know where I can get some of these bumper step pads for a reasonable price. I have asked several times, but have recieved no reply. The local stealer wants $150 a piece for the three pads. If any one is interested, I have two sets of driving lights (the reason for the holes) that I would trade with these pads for some nice ones. I hate to pay $450 to replace these. I have considered replacing the bumper with a chrome one or putting the warn 8274 that I have in a Reunel bumper and forgetting about it.

Have a great day and thanks for looking at my posts,

Dan

Mine appears to be doing the same thing. It leaks between the assembly and the cover. I've got a new gasket in the tool box but I haven't put the time in it. The bottom bolt is a buggar.

Hi Dan.

I think there are 5 pieces to your bumper pads.

The part numbers and prices I have are:

Right Front Bumper Guard: p/n 4249830, $145. 00.

Left Front Bumper Guard:

Ok... Let's not hit the key that did the post before the post is done.

Right Front Bumper Guard: p/n 4249830, $145. 00.

Left Front Bumper Guard: p/n 4249831, $145. 00.

Center Impact Strip: p/n 4089642, $13. 75.

Right Impact Strip: p/n 4089640, $24. 02.

Left Impact Strip: p/n 4089641, $24. 75.

The bumper guards cover the joints of the three impact strips.

Now, all this is true of a '93. Your grille is a '91-'93 style but your vacuum pump looks like the pre-intercooler version so I'm guessing your truck is an early '91.

At any rate, the dealer is the only source for these parts new.

If it helps, I can get 20% off factory list price at my kindly, friendly Fullerton Dodge dealer-saving you $90. 00 less shipping.
